Job summary

JMJ Phillip Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead estimating and bidding for healthcare and commercial construction projects in the greater Jacksonville, FL area.

You will review drawings, specs, and takeoffs, prepare detailed cost estimates exceeding $50M, and develop competitive bid strategies while ensuring NEC compliance. Mentoring junior estimators and coordinating with leadership, project teams, and vendors will be part of your role.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of electrical estimating experience in healthcare and commercial construction, with demonstrated experience bidding and budgeting large-scale projects.
• Proficiency in ConEst Intellibid, Surecount, Bluebeam, Procore, and Microsoft Office required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of detailed electrical cost estimates, budgets, and competitive bids for large-scale healthcare and commercial projects, including projects exceeding $50M.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, quantity takeoffs, and subcontractor/vendor proposals to ensure accurate pricing, scope coverage, and NEC compliance.
• Identify value-engineering opportunities, develop competitive bid strategies, and collaborate with leadership, project teams, and vendors to support successful project awards.
• Mentor junior estimators, oversee estimating workflows, and ensure timely bid submissions and comprehensive project handoffs.
