Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC seeks an experienced Sr. Electrical Estimator for industrial EPC and data center construction in Houston, TX. This on-site role supports nationwide projects, collaborating with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to deliver accurate estimates.

Ideal candidates have strong electrical construction backgrounds, proficiency in Excel and estimating software, and willingness to travel nationwide. Data center experience is a plus, though not required.

Qualifications

• Electrical construction estimating experience in industrial, commercial EPC, or mission-critical work.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Knowledge of electrical materials, installation methods, and labor requirements.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs, cost estimating, and subcontractor bid evaluations.
• Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Bluebeam, McCormick, Accubid or similar estimating software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred, not required.
• Data center construction experience a plus, not required.
• Ability to travel nationwide as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical and instrumentation estimates for complex construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and calculate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for accuracy and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams throughout the bidding process.
• Analyze labor productivity, material pricing, and project-specific cost considerations.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project walkdowns.
• Develop proposal documentation and final bid packages.
• Maintain historical cost data and support improvements in estimating accuracy.
