Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking an experienced Sr. Electrical Estimator to support large-scale industrial EPC and data center construction projects from Houston, TX. Fully onsite role with a 40–45 hour work week, opportunity to work nationwide with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to develop accurate estimates.

Ideal candidates bring strong electrical estimating background across industrial sectors; data center experience is a plus but not required. Travel nationwide as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical estimating for industrial, commercial, EPC, or mission-critical construction.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specs, and bid documents.
• Knowledge of electrical materials, installation methods, and labor requirements.
• Proficiency with takeoffs, cost estimating, and subcontractor bid evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical and instrumentation estimates for complex construction projects.
• Review drawings, specs, and bid documents to determine project scope.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and calculate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for accuracy and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams throughout bidding.
• Analyze labor productivity, material pricing, and project-specific cost factors.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project walkdowns.
• Develop proposal documentation and final bid packages.
• Maintain historical cost data and support improvements in estimating accuracy.
