Job summary

City Light & Power, Inc. (CLP) in Denver, CO seeks a seasoned Senior Electrical Estimator to develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for EPC microgrid, electrical distribution, and high‑voltage projects.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years electrical estimating or construction project management experience.
• Experience with EPC, renewable integration, or utility-scale projects is a plus.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and bid documents with technical accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate RFP requirements and lead preparation and submission of proposal documents.
• Develop accurate cost estimates by analyzing labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor bids.
• Prepare subcontractor bid packages and lead solicitation and evaluation of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site walk-downs to assess constructability and clarify scope.
• Maintain an electronic database of pricing, unit costs, labor benchmarks, and vendor quotes.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, procurement, and vendors to ensure clear scope and design intent.
• Identify value-engineering opportunities and recommend cost-effective alternatives.
• Review proposals for compliance and accuracy; conduct constructability reviews.
