Job summary

City Light & Power, Inc is seeking a seasoned Senior Electrical Estimator in Denver on a hybrid schedule. You will develop cost estimates for EPC microgrid, electrical distribution, and high-voltage projects, interpreting drawings, performing take-offs, and evaluating bids to ensure bid completeness and constructability.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in electrical estimating or project management, with strong MV/HV knowledge and experience in renewables, utility-scale, or government

Qualifications

• Ten+ years in electrical estimating or construction project management, with power-related projects preferred.
• Experience supporting EPC, renewable integration, or utility-scale infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate RFP requirements and lead preparation and submission of proposal documents.
• Develop accurate cost estimates by analyzing labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor bids.
• Prepare subcontractor bid packages and lead solicitation and evaluation of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Participate in prebid meetings and site walkdowns to assess constructability and clarify scope.
• Maintain an electronic database of material pricing, unit costs, labor benchmarks, and vendor quotes.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, procurement, and vendors to ensure clear scope and design intent.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and recommend cost-effective substitutes.
• Review contractor and subcontractor proposals for accuracy and compliance.
• Support project handoff after award and conduct preproposal risk analyses.
