Job summary

Miller Electric is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead cost estimation for electrical projects in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with the Project Manager, develop estimates from take-off to bid hand-off, and prepare change-order estimates when necessary.

The role emphasizes reading blueprints, analyzing material and labor requirements, and coordinating with engineers, customers, and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids and successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NEC and Low Voltage Systems is required.
• Ability to read/interpret specifications and blueprints.
• Strong communication and math skills; customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Develops cost estimates from take-off to bid hand-off with PM.
• Creates change-order estimates when needed.
• Analyzes material, labor, and equipment requirements for projects.
• Attends pre-bid/scope reviews and job walks.
• Prepares detailed scope letters from project data.
• Interprets blueprints and technical drawings.
• Coordinates with engineers, customers, vendors, and PMs.
• Leads coordination with other estimators.
