Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate electrical estimates for projects such as distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, and data centers. The role requires a deep understanding of electrical scope, bid regulations, and proficiency with drawing interpretation.

Relocation assistance is provided. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers and contractors to ensure precise bids and cost control, leveraging Accubid software and MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical estimation in heavy industrial construction.
• Estimated projects worth ~$50M.
• Proficiency in Accubid software and other estimation tools.
• Excellent knowledge of electrical trade scope and bid depository regulations.
• Ability to interpret and analyze complex electrical drawings and specifications.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team.
• Proficiency in Excel (Microsoft Office Suite).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate electrical drawings and specs to provide cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Understand bid depository regulations to ensure compliant bids.
• Use Accubid to develop and maintain cost controls.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors for detailed estimates.
• Review cost discrepancies and variances for management review.
• Participate in bid meetings, presenting estimates to clients and stakeholders.
• Maintain knowledge of current industry trends, standards, and best practices.
• Contribute to team efforts by completing related tasks.
