Job summary

SteveRecruiter, LLC seeks a Sr. Electrical Estimator for industrial EPC and data center construction in Houston, onsite role. You will develop detailed estimates, review drawings and specs, and collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to win bids.

Experience in electrical estimation for industrial or mission-critical projects is preferred; data center experience is a plus but not required. Travel nationwide as needed and a strong Excel skillset are essential.

Qualifications

• Electrical estimating experience in industrial, commercial, EPC or mission-critical construction.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specs, and construction documents.
• Knowledge of electrical materials, installation methods, and labor requirements.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs, cost estimating, and subcontractor bid evaluations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Bluebeam, McCormick, Accubid, or similar estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical and instrumentation estimates for complex construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and calculate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for accuracy and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams throughout the bidding process.
• Analyze labor productivity, material pricing, and project-specific cost considerations.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project walkdowns.
• Develop proposal documentation and final bid packages.
• Maintain historical cost data and support improvements in estimating accuracy.
