Job summary

McCord Group Recruiting Solutions is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to support California and Nevada markets. You will prepare cost estimates for electrical projects from design conception through basic design and bid projects with detailed budgets and purchase orders.

You will collaborate with clients, vendors, engineers, architects, building officials, owners, contractors and subcontractors to ensure accurate, competitive bids.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in the Commercial Electrical Industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite / Office 365.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.
• Experience with Accubid Anywhere/Classic or similar estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for electrical projects from design conception through basic design.
• Bid projects with sufficient detail to produce accurate budgets and purchase orders.
• Determine scope of work and review design options.
• Communicate with clients, vendors, engineers, architects, building officials, owners, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Assist in preparing portions of contract proposal estimates.
• Work with the estimating team regarding bid document requirements.
• Price field change orders as needed.
• Attend staff and scheduled business meetings and support team needs as required.
