Job summary

A-C Electric Company in Bakersfield, CA seeks a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead the Bid Team on projects with complete construction documents. You will develop estimating plans, price value-engineered options, and mentor junior estimators.

You will collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and division managers, coordinating bid packages and ensuring accurate scope and pricing for successful bids. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Electrical design experience and bid process knowledge.
• Up to 25% travel required.
• 7+ years electrical estimating experience.
• Public and private sector project experience.
• Commercial and industrial project background.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Excel and Word proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and thoroughly understands plans and specs for each bid project.
• Leads bid team to complete the bid process from start to finish.
• Sets up estimating plan, take-off structure, bid form, labor, and materials.
• Collaborates with CS Team to identify prefab opportunities.
• Interfaces with GC Chief Estimators and mentors junior estimators.
• Prepares RFIs and budgets, pricing value-engineered alternatives.
