Job summary

Power Contracting, LLC seeks an Electrical Estimator to provide construction estimates for underground and overhead distribution, transmission, and substations. You will review bid documents, visit sites, and coordinate labor, equipment and material estimates with subcontractors.

The role supports post-award budgeting, assists in change orders, and collaborates with project management, contract administration, and operations to ensure accurate, timely estimates throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 3 years estimating experience.
• Post-secondary education in Business Administration related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to analyze and understand bid documents and construction drawings.
• Ability to prepare labor, equipment and material takeoffs and gather subcontract quotes.

Responsibilities

• Review and summarize projects for bidding.
• Attend pre-bid job walks and site investigations.
• Prepare labor, equipment and material project estimates.
• Prepare resource-driven project schedules as per client’s request.
• Assist PMs in preparing change order requests.
• Possess good written and communications skills to explain complex estimate issues.
• Gather quotes for materials and submit quote requests.
