Responsibilities for Senior Electrical Estimator

1. Prepare cost estimates for specified and design-build projects, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and alignment with project requirements.
2. Plan, coordinate, review, verify, analyze, and lead all aspects of estimates and presentations.
3. Assist the team with independent assessments of estimate accuracy, including detailed man-hours, materials, equipment, and costs.
4. Review estimates prepared by other groups or partners to ensure data completeness and procedural accuracy, aiding in bid item resolution.
5. Review owner’s plans and specifications to understand project scope and develop construction and estimating plans.
6. Conduct site investigations to identify potential issues or unusual conditions before planning operations.
7. Utilize recognized engineering techniques during investigations, adhering to company policies to gather complete information.
8. Stay current on industry trends, new equipment, methods, and procedures relevant to estimating work.
9. Estimate and deliver projects ranging from $50K to $10M in contract value.

Qualifications for Senior Electrical Estimator

• Ability to develop quantity take-offs, schedules, and cost estimates from plans.
• Knowledge of construction methods and procedures.
• Experience producing at-risk bid schedules and estimates across various project types.
• Proficiency with estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff and Primavera P6.
• 10+ years of experience estimating electrical installations, including power distribution systems, high voltage, and underground/aerial installations.
• Experience with design-build projects and estimating design and construction changes.
