A leading company in electrical services is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to join their team in Conroe, Texas. This key role involves analyzing project requirements, developing competitive cost estimates, and ensuring alignment with industry standards. Senior Electrical Estimator (Project Management)
Analyze project plans, specifications, and documentation to determine testing scope.
Develop detailed estimates for electrical testing services (including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs).
Partner with sales to develop proposals and competitive bids.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure estimates reflect accurate field conditions and execution capabilities.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards (e.g., NETA, ANSI, NFPA).
Track project estimates versus actuals to support continuous improvement.
Project Evaluation:
Review project documentation and specifications to understand electrical testing requirements.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate estimation.
Cost Estimation:
Collaborate with Sales Representative to establish detailed cost estimates for electrical testing services, including labor, equipment, materials, and overhead.
Utilize industry-standard estimating software and methodologies to ensure accuracy.
Client Interaction:
Communicate with clients to understand their specific testing needs and address any inquiries related to cost estimates.
Provide clear and concise explanations of the estimation process and associated costs.
Collaboration:
Work closely with project teams to ensure alignment between testing requirements and project goals.
Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing information.
Documentation:
Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of all estimates, including assumptions and methodologies used.
Update and revise estimates as project details evolve or change
Industry Knowledge:
Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and advancements in electrical testing methodologies.
Apply knowledge to enhance the accuracy and relevance of cost estimates.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct quality checks on estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Implement feedback loops to continuously improve the estimation process.
