Jobot is seeking a Permanent Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team. You will develop accurate cost estimates for high voltage transmission line projects and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of estimating experience in construction and strong Excel/MS Project skills. Hybrid/Remote options available with 100% company-paid benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in electrical estimating within construction.
• Experience with EHV transmission lines and transmission construction.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and interpreting electrical drawings and blueprints to understand the scope of work and to determine the cost, materials, and labor required for the project.
• Preparing detailed cost estimates and bids for EHV transmission line projects, ensuring all costs are accurately accounted for.
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather detailed information about a project.
• Analyzing different suppliers and contractors to get the best cost-effective deals.
• Using Microsoft Office tools to prepare reports and presentations, and to track and manage project costs.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating, specifically in the construction industry.
• Proven experience with EHV transmission lines, electrical transmission, and transmission line construction.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Project.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
