Jobot is seeking a seasoned Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team in Minnesota. You will provide accurate and competitive cost estimates for high voltage transmission line projects, review electrical drawings, and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of electrical estimating experience in the construction industry.
• Proven experience with EHV transmission lines, electrical transmission, and transmission line construction.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Project.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and interpreting electrical drawings and blueprints to understand the scope of work and to determine the cost, materials, and labor required for the project.
• Preparing detailed cost estimates and bids for EHV transmission line projects, ensuring all costs are accurately accounted for.
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather detailed information about a project.
• Analyzing different suppliers and contractors to get the best cost-effective deals.
• Using Microsoft Office tools to prepare reports and presentations, and to track and manage project costs.

• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
