Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead our Electrical Estimating team for commercial projects. You will review plans, develop competitive bids, and collaborate with project teams to support successful execution.

Requirements include 7+ years of electrical estimating experience, knowledge of retail electrical systems, and strong proficiency with estimation tools. This on-site role is based in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven (7) years electrical estimating experience.
• Experience leading or mentoring estimating teams is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and installation methods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates for projects including ground-ups and tenant improvements.
• Review plans and specs to determine scope and challenges.
• Collaborate with managers, engineers, and clients to develop bids.
• Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes for cost efficiency.
• Maintain estimating and cost databases for accuracy and speed.
• Assist in contract negotiations and scope definitions with clients and subs.
• Mentor junior estimators on best practices and accuracy.
• Monitor budgets and provide cost-control recommendations.
• Ensure estimates comply with company standards and regulations.

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. (SEMP) has been a trusted provider of skilled trade construction services for over 20 years, specializing in commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and 24/7 emergency service. We are seeking a Senior Estimator to lead our Electrical Estimating team in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial retail projects. This role is responsible for reviewing plans and specifications, developing project bids, and collaborating with project management and leadership teams to support successful project execution.

Hours

Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Location

This is an on-site position based at our corporate office in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates for a variety of projects, including ground-ups, tenant improvements and takeovers
• Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work and identify potential challenges
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop accurate and competitive bids
• Analyze and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure cost efficiency
• Maintain and update estimating databases and cost databases to improve accuracy and efficiency
• Assist in the negotiation of contracts and scope of work with clients and subcontractors
• Mentor junior estimators on best practices, accuracy, and necessary corrections
• Monitor project budgets and provide cost control recommendations throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure all estimates comply with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices

Requirements

• Minimum of seven (7) years of electrical estimating experience, with prior lead or senior estimating experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of retail electrical systems, applicable codes and standards, and electrical materials and installation methods
• Ability to interpret refrigeration, mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and/or structural plans and specifications related to electrical installation
• Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, SureCount, Autodesk, Intellibid, and/or EBM
