Job summary

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is seeking an experienced Retail Maintenance Estimator to join our California-based team. The role focuses on preparing competitive estimates for tenant improvements and maintenance projects.

You will interpret blueprints, reference pricing from suppliers, and collaborate with internal departments to deliver accurate, timely proposals. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 a.m.

Qualifications

• Two years of recent experience in estimating construction projects.
• Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
• Fast alpha-numeric data entry (≥40 WPM) and strong construction math.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit maintenance proposals for framing, concrete, drywall, tile, flooring and demolition.
• Interpret blueprints and project specs to determine material and labor needs.
• Obtain pricing from internal departments, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Maintain estimating software and databases with high-volume data entry.
• Incorporate industry trends, materials and best practices into estimates.

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted statewide provider of skilled trade construction services, supporting commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and 24/7 emergency services for our clients. We are seeking an experienced Retail Maintenance Estimator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of commercial construction estimating, materials, and experience preparing accurate and competitive estimates for a variety of tenant improvement projects.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit maintenance proposals within the scope of framing, concrete, drywall, tile, flooring and demolition
• Interpret and review blueprints, project schematics and/or specifications to determine material and labor requirements
• Obtain and reference pricing from internal departments, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Perform high-volume data entry to maintain and update estimating software and databases
• Incorporate current industry trends, materials, and best practices into project estimates
• Perform additional clerical duties as assigned to support the department

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of recent experience in estimating construction projects
• Proficient utilizing estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficient alpha-numeric data entry with the ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM
• Proficiency in construction math, including measurements, unit conversions, area and volume calculations
