Job summary

Axcelis Technologies is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager (Electrical Engineering Focus) to lead complex electrical engineering projects from concept through release. You will coordinate across Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Firmware, and Manufacturing teams to meet scope, schedule and quality goals.

The role requires strong project leadership, experience across the product lifecycle, and the ability to drive technical reviews and risk reduction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years in electrical or systems engineering.
• 3+ years leading technical projects or cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience across the product lifecycle including design, verification and manufacturing release.
• Strong understanding of electrical hardware development and cross-functional coordination.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to influence teams without direct management authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of Electrical Engineering projects from concept to release.
• Coordinate activities across Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Firmware, Systems, Manufacturing, Quality and Service.
• Plan, schedule, facilitate and document PDRs, CDRs and DDRs; drive risk reduction.
• Maintain project schedules and milestones in Planview and other tools.
• Manage risks, changes and issues; drive recovery plans when needed.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings and provide stakeholder updates.
• Support product introduction and sustaining activities.
