Job summary

Axcelis Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager (Electrical Engineering Focus) to drive complex EE projects from concept to product release. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across Electrical, Mechanical, Software, and Manufacturing to ensure on-time, within-scope delivery.

The role emphasizes governance, design reviews, risk management, and clear communication with stakeholders, enabling successful product development programs across our portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of electrical engineering, systems engineering, or related technical development roles.
• Minimum 3 years of experience leading technical projects, engineering programs, or cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering activities across multiple functions.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of Electrical Engineering projects from concept through product release.
• Coordinate engineering activities across Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Firmware, Systems, Manufacturing, Quality, and Service teams.
• Ensure design governance, reviews, risk management, and action items are tracked to closure.
• Maintain project schedules and milestones in Planview and other tools; monitor progress and risks.
• Drive risk identification, mitigation, and change management; support ECN/CN activities.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Product Management, and other teams to ensure program success.
• Support product introduction and sustaining activities, including readiness reviews and documentation completion.
• Provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
