Job summary

IonQ, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer Manager within Capella Space to lead a team of electrical engineers responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical systems for spacecraft.

The role emphasizes leadership across two offices, ensuring project execution, compliance with aerospace standards, and driving innovation in electrical systems for satellite applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 12+ years in hardware R&D with 4+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience in aerospace or high‑reliability systems is highly desirable.
• Strong test and measurement skills with oscilloscope, logic analyzers and thermal chambers.
• Proficient in PCB schematic capture and layout; familiarity with PLM and revision control.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a distributed team of electrical engineers across multiple offices.
• Oversee design, development, and testing of electrical systems for spacecraft.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards and quality procedures.
• Allocate resources to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices.
