Job summary

Capella, an IonQ company, is seeking a Technical Program Manager to oversee cross‑functional teams and deliver complex spacecraft projects. You will manage schedules, budgets, risks, and alignment with strategic goals across NextGen into Capella’s current and next generation designs.

The role requires 5+ years in program management, a technical engineering/science degree, and strong communication skills. US export control considerations apply, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

5+ years of program or project management experience.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field (business degree acceptable with aerospace experience).
Proficiency with MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence.
Proven ability to manage technical development and/or R&D scope.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
To conform to ITAR, US citizenship or eligible status may be required.

Responsibilities

Oversee cross‑functional teams and manage project schedules, budgets, and risks.
Ensure alignment with technical and strategic goals across Capella’s spacecraft design programs.
Develop and manage a comprehensive project portfolio and track status across multiple projects.
Translate technical requirements into work delivery plans and monitor progress.
Mentor resources and foster accountability for deliverables.
Communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical audiences at all levels.
