McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the electrical engineering function for utility‑scale PV, BESS, and substation projects across its renewables portfolio.

This full‑time role involves day‑to‑day leadership, mentoring, and cross‑functional collaboration with Preconstruction, Design Management, and Operations to deliver safe, reliable, and high‑performing plants at scale. Occasional travel to project sites and offices is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Substantial electrical engineering experience in utility-scale PV, BESS, or HV/substation work.
• Experience leading engineers or engineering teams in a design‑build/EPC environment.
• Strong experience producing and reviewing construction‑quality electrical design packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and coach the electrical engineering team (HV/substation, protection & control, NERC compliance, PV/BESS design).
• Coordinate staffing and technical ownership across pursuits and projects.
• Serve as the accountable senior technical decision‑maker for the electrical scope.
