Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Technical Manager, Electrical Engineering to lead technical direction across power generation, renewable energy, transmission, distribution, substations, and industrial infrastructure. You will mentor staff, drive engineering excellence, and ensure delivery of high-quality services to clients.

You will provide oversight for due diligence, design reviews, and construction management, aligning with industry standards and safety practices while supporting strategic growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of relevant post education experience in power/utility projects.
• Engineer license (multi-state preferred).
• Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and regulations.
• Experience with infrastructure planning and cross-discipline collaboration.
• Proficiency with CAD/engineering software listed above.
• Commitment to QA/QC and safety standards.
• Flexible to evolving project environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design and construction of complex electrical infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate and approve electrical design plans ensuring code compliance.
• Apply advanced electrical engineering techniques across project phases.
• Lead investigations, inspections, and permit reviews as needed.
• Develop construction plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Manage budgets, hours, and subcontractors for large projects.
• Mentor staff and drive professional development.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
