Job summary

GTN Solutions GmbH is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical activities for advanced centrifugal chiller systems in the U.S. market.

The role emphasizes leadership, regulatory compliance, and coordination with international design teams to deliver reliable equipment and successful project execution. The ideal candidate brings 12+ years of experience, strong knowledge of NEC/UL/IEEE standards, and a track record of shaping electrical design practices for complex industrial

Qualifications

• 12+ years of engineering experience, with at least 7 years leading electrical projects
• Experience interpreting electrical codes and applying them to proposals and designs
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, protection, control panels, VFDs, and instrumentation
• Ability to assess designs for issues, risks, and improvements
• Experience reviewing electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and I/O documentation
• Experience managing requirements, risks, issues, decisions, and configuration changes
• Excellent communication and ability to coordinate with international teams

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering leadership from initial customer discussions through design revisions
• Interpret US electrical codes and standards for project specs
• Coordinate requirements with international teams (Japan)
• Define electrical interfaces and system boundaries
• Govern design change processes throughout quotation and design lifecycle
• Review electrical drawings and package documentation
• Ensure testing, validation, FAT/SAT planning
• Support customers, suppliers, and project stakeholders
• Coordinate US certification activities and submissions
• Assist with FAT, installation, commissioning, and field issues
• Develop repeatable electrical design practices for the US market
