Job summary

You will design electrical systems for facilities, engage in client relations and business development, and ensure compliance with codes and utility requirements, in HDR's employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• 10+ years experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)
• Requires Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting and signal design, including life safety systems and building management systems
• Strong knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD and electrical design software
• Active participation in our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Electrical team and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams across water, wastewater, and other industrial projects to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
• Establish and maintain client relationships and participate in business development, proposals, design reviews, and production meetings.
• Serve as the electrical discipline lead for water and wastewater facilities, pump stations, and other critical infrastructure.
• Coordinate workload and track project financial performance to ensure on-time delivery within budgets.
• Mentor junior staff and lead design and coordination of electrical infrastructure for facilities and power systems.
• Support construction administration activities including shop drawings, RFIs, field observations, and startup/commissioning.
