Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for water and wastewater projects in Columbus, Ohio. You will lead the electrical design for facilities, mentor engineers, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver solutions on time and within budget.

You will establish client relationships, support business development, and ensure compliance with codes and standards throughout concept to start-up phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
• Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting and signal design
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Office, and Revit

Responsibilities

• Lead the Electrical team and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams throughout all phases of water, wastewater, and other industrial projects to develop and deliver high-quality engineering solutions and project deliverables
• Establish and maintain client relationships and participate in business development, proposal efforts, design reviews, and production meetings related to electrical systems
• Serve as the electrical discipline lead for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and other critical infrastructure projects
• Coordinate workload throughout project development to deliver work on schedule
• Track project financial performance and coordinate team resources to ensure work is completed within budgets
• Direct the activities of electrical engineering professionals and mentor junior staff members
• Lead the design and coordination of electrical infrastructure for facilities, standby generation, motor control centers, VFDs, SCADA systems, instrumentation power, and power monitoring systems
