Job summary

Ardurra Group, Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - Water/Wastewater to lead power distribution and I&C design for municipal facilities, pump stations, and pipelines. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant, cost-effective engineering solutions.

The role emphasizes project management, schedule and budget oversight, and coordination with clients and regulatory agencies. A PE license and 5+ years of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• PE license in Electrical Engineering or ability to obtain within one year.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in electrical and I&C design for water/wastewater infrastructure.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and design/analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical power distribution and I&C systems for water/wastewater facilities.
• Develop drawings and specs including single-line diagrams, load calculations, panel layouts/schedules, cable/conduit sizing, grounding, lighting, and MCC design.
• Perform power system studies (load flow, short circuit, protective coordination) using ETAP or SKM.
• Create P&IDs, I/O lists, loop wiring diagrams, telemetry design, and communication/network architecture.
• Produce detailed construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for bids and permits.
• Coordinate with internal teams, integrators, contractors, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Design and specify service upgrades per utility standards (e.g., SCE, PG&E, SDG&E).
