Job summary

Apptronik seeks a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to drive electronics for the human-robot interface in the Apollo robot. You’ll own display and LED systems from concept through production, collaborating with firmware and safety teams to meet performance and regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in display or LED lighting electronics for consumer electronics or robotics, with strong Altium and mixed-signal design skills and hands-on testing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years designing display or LED lighting electronics across consumer/robotics sectors.

Responsibilities

• Define electrical requirements for component selection and architecture for the visual HRI subsystem.
• Design, bring up, and test the display and LED lighting PCBAs for Apollo.
• Translate UX intent into measurable electrical and optical requirements and verify hardware.
• Design for EMI/EMC compliance and support certifications (UL, CE, FCC).
• Design, simulate, implement, and test multi-layer mixed signal PCBAs.
• Own lifecycle of the visual hardware from concept to production support.
• Manage 3rd party suppliers and external design services.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers on best practices for mixed signal hardware.
