Job summary

RTX is seeking a motivated Senior Electrical Engineer for Andover, MA, to support the Metrology & Test Equipment Maintenance (MTEM) department on the 3rd shift. You will perform root-cause fault isolation and repair of complex test stations across RF, digital, and power platforms, ensuring uptime in a high tempo environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 5+ years of relevant experience, plus 3+ years in test equipment design or troubleshooting and the ability to obtain a DoD

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) is typically required.
• 3+ years of test equipment design or troubleshoot experience.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform system-level debugging on test fixtures and automated test stations.
• Trace hardware faults to the component level across RF, digital, and AC/DC platforms.
• Ensure test station uptime on the manufacturing floor.
• Maintain fault logs and generate repair documentation to minimize future troubleshoot efforts.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Coach and influence technicians regarding troubleshooting best practices and techniques.
• Interpret schematic drawings to aid troubleshooting of test stations and equipment.
• Design moderate improvements to systems and test equipment to enhance performance and production uptime.
