Job summary

PEMEX Deer Park is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to serve as the Technical Authority for electrical systems across its capital projects. You will ensure safe, reliable, and compliant design, installation, testing, and commissioning through all project phases, while providing governance and field support to engineering contractors.

Qualifications

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 15+ years of petrochemical project experience.
Experience reviewing and approving contractor deliverables, including single-line diagrams and protection schemes.
Strong knowledge of medium voltage systems and NFPA 70E/NEC compliance.

Responsibilities

Serve as Technical Authority for electrical systems across PEMEX Deer Park projects.
Provide governance, technical assurance, and field support throughout lifecycle phases.
Lead safety programs, commissioning, FAT/SAT activities, and energization planning.
Review design packages and approve equipment specs and vendor selections.
Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and project teams to ensure turnover to operations.
