Job summary

Glassboard in Indianapolis is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to own the technical direction and delivery of programs from concept through commercialization. You will manage a team of electrical engineers across concurrent projects and oversee client relationships at a strategic level.

Reporting to the COO, you will collaborate with the broader product development team, shape engineering practices, and contribute to proposals while maintaining a hands-on design focus when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in an engineering or product development field.
• Bachelor's Degree in EE/CE/EET/CET preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Consumer, automotive, industrial, or medical product development experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analog and digital circuit design with final review on schematics and PCB layouts.
• Oversee libraries, schematic capture, and PCB layout standards.
• Translate customer requirements into technical specs and guide others.
• Prototype bring up, debugging, and functional verification.
• Lead client communications, scoping, timelines, and program financials.
• Mentor and develop a team of electrical engineers across programs.
• Partner with leadership on hiring, performance reviews, and career planning.
• Contribute to proposals and scoping for new electrical engineering work.
• Help define and improve internal electrical engineering processes and best practices.
