Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design of electrical systems for energy-efficient buildings across healthcare, education, and commercial sectors. You will mentor staff, engage with clients, and guide projects from concept to construction.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical or Architectural Engineering, 7+ years of MEP design experience, and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. PE license preferred; relocation and sponsorship are not specified.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering required.
• 7+ years of experience in MEP design (Healthcare, K-12, Higher Ed, or Commercial projects) preferred.
• PE license preferred; strong knowledge of NEC and applicable design standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, UPS, fire alarms, security, and renewable energy systems.
• Oversee all project phases from design through commissioning.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to ensure code compliance and seamless integration.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior engineers.
• Review submittals, conduct site visits, and support construction administration.
• Contribute to project management and business development efforts.
• Stamp drawings and prepare affidavits where needed.
