Job summary

DVJ Consulting Engineers seeks an Engineer IV - Electrical (Sustainability) to provide specialized electrical engineering expertise for the BuildLACCD Sustainability Strike Team across planning, design, procurement, construction, and closeout of energy projects in the LACCD.

As a SME, you will support multiple Project Managers, coordinate with district teams and utilities, perform load studies and feasibility analyses, and ensure compliance with Title 24, NEC, and CALGreen on central plant, BMS,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Current California PE license in Electrical Engineering required.
• 7+ years of professional electrical engineering experience in design, construction, or facilities infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of California energy codes, Title 24, NEC, CALGreen and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as electrical engineering SME supporting multiple PMs and initiatives across the Districtwide portfolio.
• Perform technical assessments of electrical infrastructure, evaluate conditions, performance, and upgrade opportunities.
• Develop existing conditions assessment reports with findings, deficiencies, and prioritization.
• Review electrical design documents, specs, RFIs, and change orders; provide recommendations to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with District personnel, CPTs, PMO, consultants, and utilities on capacity and integration needs.
• Develop SOWs or input for electrical engineering requirements in project SOWs.
• Apply California energy and electrical codes, Title 24, ASHRAE, and district standards to reviews.
• Support field visits, commissioning, and closeout activities for technical verification.
