Job summary

BuildLACCD is seeking a Project Engineer III – Sustainability to provide technical, engineering, and coordination support through planning, design, construction, and closeout of sustainability and energy projects tied to the bond program.

Under the Sustainability Strike Team Lead, you will collaborate with district personnel, CPTs, architects, engineers, consultants, and utilities to advance bond-eligible initiatives such as BMS, LED upgrades, PV, microgrids, and energy efficiency retrofits

Qualifications

• 7+ years in project or construction management of large-scale facilities
• BS/BA in engineering, architecture, business, construction management or related field required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, engineering, and project coordination support to PMs and the Sustainability Strike Team for design through closeout.
• Coordinate with District personnel, CPTs, architects, engineers, contractors, and SMEs to address project requirements and constraints.
• Review design documents, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and field orders.
• Support verification that contractors maintain record drawings and project documents.
• Assist in coordinating meetings, documenting minutes, tracking actions, and communicating status.
