The Strategic Defense Solution engineering organization in Binghamton, NY is looking for an exceptionally motivated engineer to design and develop electrical systems for the integration of electronic equipment on military/commercial aircraft and ground training Simulators. The design includes creating system wiring diagrams, I/O and Power Distribution panels, control panels and other items using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools. Engineering duties will span the entire product lifecycle, from requirements capture and analysis, through design, testing, and production to ensure that designs meet requirements at minimum cost. Designs can include development of power distribution, electrical loads analysis, along with the support of testing and integration of systems on a training simulator.

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
Experience in electrical design tools i.e. (Visio, AutoCAD, Capital Harness, Catia).
Active DoD security clearance.
Experience with aircraft, trainers and/or other technical system integration.
Experience with design and development processes with practical experience in multiple phases of the HW lifecycle: requirements, design, development, integration, validation/verification, and sustainment.
Experience with manufacturing teams, vendors, and other suppliers to build cost-effective solutions.
Experience with Electrical Wiring Integration Systems (EWIS) standard.
