Overview

Electrical Engineer – strategic defense solutions. Location: Binghamton, NY. Onsite position requiring U.S. citizenship and a valid Secret security clearance, obtained and maintained by day one.

Responsibilities
  • Integrate electrical components and wiring into design while meeting vendor and OEM requirements.
  • Generate system wiring diagrams, circuit breaker panels, control panels, and other hardware using CAD tools.
  • Analyze power distribution, electrical loads, and load‑shedding schemes.
  • Support testing and integration of systems on trainer aircraft and other platforms.
  • Test, verify, and validate electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, harness assemblies, and Electrical Loads Analysis.
  • Coordinate aircraft electrical mission equipment installations and manage installation milestones.
  • Identify, document, and communicate design and integration risks for timely review and resolution.
  • Participate in design reviews and collaborate with functional areas to develop design solutions.
  • Be self‑directed, meeting cost, schedule, and performance objectives with minimal oversight.
Qualifications
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued Security Clearance (Secret) required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design for aircraft or related systems, or an advanced degree in a STEM field with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with electrical design tools such as Visio, AutoCAD, Computer Harness, Catia, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active DoD security clearance.
  • Experience with aircraft, trainers, or other technical system integration.
  • Experience across the HW lifecycle: requirements, design, development, integration, validation/verification, and sustainment.
  • Experience collaborating with manufacturing teams, vendors, and suppliers to create cost‑effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of the Electrical Wiring Integration Systems (EWIS) standard.
