Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Spacecraft Electrical Systems Engineer to own the EPS requirements baseline, architecture definitions, and verification closure. The role requires shaping interfaces and budgets across power and data subsystems, while coordinating trades and cross-functional reviews.

You will derive and manage verifiable requirements, ensure traceability from diagrams to tests, and support Flatsat and hardware-in-the-loop activities for high‑reliability spacecraft systems.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of spacecraft systems engineering or electrical power systems experience.
  • Knowledge of EPS architectures, power electronics, batteries, solar arrays, and EMI/EMC.
  • Experience writing and managing requirements and developing verification plans.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional technical closure in evolving architectures.

Responsibilities

  • Own requirements baseline, architecture products, interface definition, and verification strategy.
  • Derive and manage verifiable electrical-system requirements with traceability.
  • Interface with power-budget owners for various operating cases and reconcile assumptions.
  • Lead electrical-architecture trades including bus voltage and solar-array sizing.
  • Coordinate reviews and drive discrepancies to closure across teams.
  • Create verification plans and support hardware-in-the-loop testing.
