Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced electrical systems engineer to own EPS baselines, architectures, and verification closure for spacecraft programs. You will derive requirements, manage traceability, and coordinate with power-budget owners across nominal and mission scenarios.

The role requires strong leadership in architecture trades, verification planning, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor-level or higher in a relevant engineering field.
  • 5+ years in spacecraft systems engineering or high-reliability electrical systems.
  • Experience with EPS architectures, power electronics, batteries, solar arrays, or EMI/EMC.
  • Experience writing/managing requirements and developing verification plans.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional technical closure with evolving architectures.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Electrical Systems and EPS baselines, architectures, interfaces, and verification closure.
  • Derive and manage verifiable electrical-system requirements with traceability across diagrams and documents.
  • Interface with power-budget owners for nominal, peak, transient and end-of-life cases.
  • Lead electrical-architecture trades: bus voltage, battery topology, solar sizing, redundancy.
  • Lead reviews for requirements, interfaces, verification, and test readiness; coordinate anomaly resolution.
  • Create integrated verification plans and support flatsat, hardware-in-the-loop, and mission testing.
  • Manage risks, decisions, configuration changes, and test procedures across documents and models.
