Job summary

Blue Origin Engines is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to deliver end-to-end electrical engineering solutions across motor systems, instrumentation, and controls. You will serve as the prime technical contact for electrical scope, guiding integration efforts and coordinating with operations, manufacturing, test, and suppliers.

The role requires ownership of electrical design through full lifecycle, strong analysis capabilities, and leadership in safety and quality processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Demonstrated ownership of electrical design and integration through the full lifecycle.
• Experience with low-voltage and medium-voltage systems, including load flow, short circuit, coordination, and arc flash.
• Experience designing and commissioning instrumentation and controls, including hardware such as Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Demonstrated experience leading root-cause investigations of complex failures and driving corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, analysis, and implementation of electrical engineering solutions across motor systems, instrumentation, and controls.
• Serve as technical lead for electrical scope on a small team with broad responsibilities.
• Act as prime technical contact with stakeholders to negotiate requirements and align on solutions.
• Review work of others and mentor engineers and technicians on design release and turnover.
• Lead anomaly and root-cause investigations and develop corrective-action plans.
• Provide senior engineering leadership across safety, systems engineering, QA, and process development.
