Job summary

Iris Technology Corporation in Irvine, CA is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to own hardware development from requirements through board bring-up and verification, focusing on analog, digital, mixed-signal, or power electronics for space and tactical applications.

You will lead design, simulations, testing, and collaboration with mechanical, firmware, systems, and manufacturing teams to deliver reliable hardware ready for qualification and production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years of relevant electronic hardware design experience.
• Demonstrated strength in at least one area: analog/mixed-signal design, digital hardware design, or power electronics.
• Experience taking circuit or PCB designs from concept through prototype bring-up and verification.

Responsibilities

• Own circuit and board-level designs, including requirements definition, architecture, schematic development, component selection, and PCB layout guidance.
• Design analog, digital, mixed-signal, and/or power circuitry aligned with your expertise and assigned products.
• Perform circuit simulations and design analyses to verify performance, margins, and reliability.
• Lead hands-on board bring-up, troubleshooting, integration, and design verification.
• Develop test procedures and document results demonstrating compliance with product requirements.
• Prepare and present technical analyses, design review packages, and engineering recommendations.
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware/software, systems, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver producible, reliable hardware.
• Support qualification, production transition, and resolution of hardware issues.
