Job summary

SunEnergy1 is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support preliminary design, design review, and quality assurance of utility-scale solar, substation, and transmission infrastructure. This role collaborates with internal teams and external partners to ensure safety, reliability, and code compliance across multiple concurrent projects.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited EE degree; 5–7 years experience (MS: 3–5 years).
• Experience reviewing drawings, studies, specs and electrical design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Able to manage outside engineering firms and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform design review of electrical drawings, studies, and equipment specifications.
• Manage and coordinate outside engineering firms to meet project timelines.
• Conduct quality assurance on electrical installations.
• Develop and review equipment specifications for procurement.
• Travel to job sites up to 20% for verification and field coordination.
• Collaborate with project management, procurement, construction.
• Support compliance with utility, NERC, and industry standards.
