Job summary
Cardinal Glass is seeking an experienced Electrical/Automation Engineer to promote safety and lead engineering initiatives in a heavy industrial glass manufacturing setting in Tennessee. You will supervise multidisciplinary teams, develop SOWs, and oversee contractor activities for capital projects.
The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical or Automation Engineering and 5+ years of hands-on experience with Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley, Beckhoff, VFDs, and AutoCAD/Inventor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on engineering in heavy industrial manufacturing.
- Experience with industrial automation and safety systems.
Responsibilities
- Promote safety across engineering and maintenance activities.
- Develop Scope of Work documents for mechanical, electrical, and civil needs.
- Oversee external contractors during maintenance and capital projects.
- Read, modify, and develop drawings using AutoCAD Electrical/Mechanical or Inventor.
- Lead equipment installation, commissioning, and system integration.
- Provide technical supervision and plant support.
