Job summary

Curtiss-Wright EMD in Cheswick, PA is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and analyze electro-mechanical components and systems for pumps, motors and generators, with a focus on electrical insulation systems.

You will lead studies and testing on rotating machine designs, evaluate insulation schemes, perform analyses, and report results to drive improvements in performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Qualifications

• US citizenship due to DoD requirements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearances.
• BS in Electrical Engineering required; MS preferred; 5+ years in EE with rotating equipment and insulation systems.
• Experience with IEEE, international, and military insulation specs.
• Experience creating models/drawings, design reviews, and presenting insulation data.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance in electrical engineering for rotating equipment insulation design.
• Investigate and develop new applications for existing equipment and systems with emphasis on insulation.
• Advise design, analytics, and production teams on product development.
• Evaluate insulation designs with tests such as partial discharge, voltage endurance, and thermal endurance.
• Coordinate experiments, collect data, interpret results, and drive engineering solutions.
