Job summary
Curtiss-Wright EMD in Cheswick/Pittsburgh is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and improve insulation systems and electro-mechanical components used in pumps, motors and generators. You will collaborate with shop-floor teams to resolve production issues and ensure designs meet performance goals.
The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering and 0-2+ years of related experience; DoD clearance is a consideration.
Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering required.
- 0-2+ years’ experience in Electrical Engineering, ideally with rotating equipment and insulation systems.
- Working knowledge of Electric Motor design tools is highly desired.
Responsibilities
- Design and interact with shop floor personnel to address insulation and electrical issues in manufacture.
- Assist in design of electro-mechanical components and insulation systems for pumps, motors and generators.
- Prepare schedules and publish reports, documenting technical information for stakeholders.
- Develop insulation projects and manage experiments to collect data and interpret results.
