Job summary
Day & Zimmermann Company in Huntsville, AL seeks an Electrical Engineer to support power generation, renewable energy, industrial and chemical markets. Under supervision, develop design criteria, support procurement, and perform field assignments and factory inspections to help ensure project success.
You will lead scopes, budgets, and staffing, coordinate with clients and vendors, and may supervise others; PE certification preferred.
Qualifications
- ABET-accredited Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 6+ years engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer licensure preferred; state licensure required.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus and ABET-accredited.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and engineering support for project activities.
- Develop and monitor project scopes; assess changes and impacts.
- Coordinate design efforts with other disciplines and client personnel.
- Ensure design documents comply with NEC, IEEE, NEMA, NFPA and related codes.
- Stamp project documents as a PE when responsible.
