Job summary

Biogas Engineering in Long Beach, CA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of electrical systems for Renewable Natural Gas facilities, focusing on medium and low-voltage power distribution, switchgear, and panel boards.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, review submittals, and ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA70E, IEEE, and NFPA 780 for lightning protection.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Minimum 8 years in power system design.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA70E, IEEE and UL standards.
• Experience with ETAP, SKM PTW or EasyPower and power studies.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical aspects of assigned renewable gas projects.
• Design electrical systems including switchgear, MCCs, and panels.
• Ensure code compliance and quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with vendors, PMs and drafters.
• Mentor junior engineers and review submittals.
