Job summary

Brown and Caldwell is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems for water, wastewater, and municipal facilities. The role involves client interaction, project leadership, and collaboration with civil, structural, and mechanical teams in a hybrid/remote setup.

Responsibilities include concept and detailed design, equipment specification, field investigations, and construction support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience.
• Professional license in progress or obtained (PE).
• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of NEC and electrical safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design low-/medium-voltage distribution systems including switchgear and transformers.
• Coordinate lighting, conduit, and cable tray systems with other disciplines.
• Prepare electrical equipment specifications and construction drawings.
• Perform construction phase services, RFIs, and submittal reviews.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget at the local level.
