Job summary

Brown and Caldwell is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing team. The role emphasizes electrical design and upgrades for industrial and municipal water/wastewater projects, including MV/LV power distribution, switchgear, MCCs, and protective relays, with 2D/3D drawing delivery and field support.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with civil, structural, and mechanical disciplines, interact with clients, and help manage scope, schedule, and budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years related work experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional license in progress or achieved.
• SMS Framework certification or progression preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design low-voltage (up to 480V) and medium-voltage (up to 15kV) power distribution systems.
• Oversee conduit, duct bank, and cable tray system design.
• Coordinate lighting systems and interface with civil, structural, and mechanical disciplines.
• Prepare construction specifications for electrical equipment and systems.
• Perform field engineering during construction, respond to RFIs, and support during commissioning.
