Job summary

Brown and Caldwell is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design low- to medium-voltage power distribution for water and wastewater facilities. You will collaborate with civil, structural, and mechanical teams, produce contract drawings, and support construction in office and field environments.

The role emphasizes client interaction, project leadership, and potential mentorship within a hybrid/remote work mode.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years electrical engineering experience.
• Professional license in CA or pursuit thereof preferred.
• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with water/wastewater and municipal facilities desirable.
• Knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E/820 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design low- and medium-voltage distribution systems up to 15 kV.
• Oversee conduit, duct bank, and cable tray design.
• Coordinate lighting system design with other disciplines.
• Prepare electrical equipment and systems specifications.
• Provide construction support including submittals and RFIs.
• Conduct short-circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies.
• Plan project scope, schedule, and budget at the project level.
