Job summary

Brown and Caldwell is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to join our team. The role involves designing electrical and I&C systems for water and wastewater facilities using Revit and AutoCAD, supporting engineers, and mentoring junior staff.

Hybrid work is available with some site visits for field data gathering. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in power distribution and BIM, plus NEC/NFPA70E knowledge.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in electrical engineering technology, electrical drafting, or related field is required.
• Typically 4+ years of electrical design or related experience is expected.
• Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Plant3D and BIM is required.

Responsibilities

• Execute tasks related to electrical drawing development.
• Perform cable tray and conduit design.
• Assist with the layout of electrical equipment.
• Carry out lighting, devices, and circuit design.
• Develop competence in using Revit / AutoCAD.
• Understand the level of detail required at various project design gates/milestones.
• Manage schedules related to electrical equipment and panels.
• Mentor less experienced team members.
